At TurnKey Labs, we believe that work and fun can be the perfect match. That’s why we recently hosted the second edition of our high-energy pickleball tournament called “Battle of the Cap Table” in Palo Alto. The event brought together a vibrant crowd of about 50 players, including investors (VCs and private equity) and startup leaders (founders and execs) for a rip-roaring good time. The games were intense, the pickleball was on point, and the DJ spinning 80’s hits added to the hype.
You might be wondering how a seemingly trivial sport like pickleball connects with offshore software development. While it may not seem like an obvious link, this event is a cornerstone of our business philosophy. We focus on why we do things rather than just how we do them. And it all comes down to one simple yet powerful value: relationships.
At TurnKey Labs, we see our clients, partners, and employees as more than just their professional roles. We recognize and celebrate each person’s diverse interests and multifaceted nature. Sharing meaningful experiences and having some fun together builds deeper relationships, which ultimately leads to greater trust and collaboration. And that’s what drives productivity through the roof.
For us, creating opportunities to strengthen relationships through fun experiences is a key part of our culture. That’s why events like our pickleball tournament – or maybe even pickleball and cocktails – are so important to us. They allow us to bring together people from different backgrounds and industries in a way that fosters deeper connections, making it easier to work together towards common goals.
Huge congrats to our finalists Leslie Trigg and David Sipes and champs Akash Agarwal and Brady Fuerst in our A division, and finalists Andrea Helft, MBA, MA and Yegor Anchyshkin and champs Brian Sohmers and Alexi Sevastopoulos in our B division.
In conclusion, at TurnKey Labs, we know that mixing work and fun can lead to better outcomes. Our passion for building strong relationships with our clients, partners, and employees is at the heart of everything we do. Whether through a game of pickleball or just a casual chat over drinks, we’re committed to finding ways to bring people together and help them succeed.
